I think I have been experiencing a bit of writers block so maybe this will help wake up my mind. And I wanted to write this before I got THE NEWS tonight, because after THE NEWS I know no matter what the announcement is I will be giddy beyond belief….(stay tuned)
1. I am thankful I am beginning to feel a bit more human, I caught some kind of stomach bug or something this week that had me feeling nausea and very tired for three days straight. And no I am not preg, had that fixed a long time ago =))
2. I am thankful for new opportunities, I am so excited for Sept 1st (you will have to stop by to find out =) I know I am such a tease, many of you already know so it might be anti-climatical. But I am excited none-the-less.
3. I am thankful the Lord is carrying me through this LAST week of having football practice EVERY NIGHT. Beginning next Monday it will only be three nights a week. Praise God.
4. I am thankful my Middle son has made a wonderful transition into Middle School, he loves it. Middle School starts later then Elementary School, so I get quality time going to school and coming home with my youngest. I love it.
5. I am thankful for the all the hard work Iris does for Laced With Grace. She had a horrible thing happen, someone hacked into her email. So she changed her email and now is transitioning Laced With Grace to a new server. This is not for the faint of heart.
6.Oh I guess you want to know THE NEWS…(not to be mixed with the news of Sept 1st)
I told you about my sister in law having twins…all I have to say is…
BOY OH BOY!!!
Getting ready to take on the world sometime in January. Auntie Laurel says, “no early arrivals!”
PS – if my sister in law reads this, I want you to know I had the boy oh boy WRITTEN before you called I was THAT sure =)))
May you be richly blessed this week. Head on over to Sting My Heart for more Thankful Thursdays.

Glad you are feeling better! How wonderful that your family will be welcoming twin boys in a few months!
Blessings on you and on the twins due your brother and wife in January! My brother and his wife have their first baby due in January! Glad you’ll soon be watching football games instead of just watching practice!

I’m so glad you’re feeling better. We are all sick–Jxn even missed school yesterday. Too sick to even read my favorite blogs!
I’m so excited for your sister!
I’m so glad that you are feeling better and congrats on becoming an aunt of twins. As a foster mom I had 3 different sets of twins at 3 different times. They are a lot of work, but they are fun too.

oooo-something I forgot to be thankful for!—I put on a dress that I have not been able to wear in months!!! YIPEEEE! (Still got the fat though…I guess w/gravity….it must be “slidin’ down a bit!)
There is definitely something going around up here too! Kids in dayhome, me and my daughter all have had different variations of being sick. Glad you are starting to feel better.
My brother had twins two years ago and they are so much fun! Well, actually his wife had them, but you know what I mean. Congrats to your sis-in-law! Sorry to hear you were feeling bad. I’ve heard a lot of junk is going around. Great list of thanks.
Great thankfuls!! I know what you mean about quality time with your youngest. Samuel doesn’t start 3K until after Labor Day, so he and I have been having some wonderful one-on-one time while the older two are at school. Ahhh…Football practice…I guess I’ll get there soon enough! Thanks so much for always being willing to share your precious heart!
I’m glad you are feeling better! Congrats to your brother and sister in law on “the boys”. Sept. 1 is so close, can’t you just tell us?
What a fun list. I am glad to hear you are feeling better and I can’t wait to hear this fun news on the 1st.

Glad things are doing well, gaining speed, getting on track in the Laurel-hood! Congrats on the double blessings!
Twin boys? Wow! So glad you are feeling better.
What a delightful list Laurel. It sounds like all is going well with the boys. I’m glad you’re feeling better – and two more boys for the family. Yeah!!!
It is so good to be able to maneuver around your blog without “freezing”. I’m glad you fixed it – you are clever!!
I don’t know what you did, Laurel, but it was really nice to have your blog just immediately load right up. It always hung up for me.
What a great list. And two boys! I’m a little partial to boys, you know? LOL I’m admitting I’d love our new grandbaby to be a girl but it’s just fine with me if we get another boy.
What on earth is happening September 1St!
Congrats on the nephews that will be entering your world in January! You are certainly well prepared, having had your own group of men around for a while. ;0)
I went shopping with my friend who has twin 18 month old girls today, and I said to her as her sweet dolls were eating sweetly and staring while my Rambo was playing with his bulldozer and food simultaneously while making all the appropriate bulldozer noises,”Aren’t you glad you didn’t have twin BOYS?”…lol
I will start praying for your sister in law now!
..one more thing! I’ll share our name,…she could call them Rambo and Terminator!
Congrats! What a thrill to be an aunt to twins.
