Everyone that has visit my blog in the last month knows I love Fall/Autumn. Living in Florida I have to live vicariously through decorations and pictures.

Melissa at The Inspired Room posted a list of 20 Little Things to Treasure in Autumn. That inspired me to think of what I loved about this wonderful season. What are yours?

1. Watching my boys play football.
2. Pumpkin Spice candles.
3. Reading a good book while cuddled in a blanket.
4. Sipping hot chocolate or hot cider.
5. Sleeping in an extra hour after the time change.
6. Fall festivals.
7. Crafts.
8. Chili.
9. Baking banana bread.
10. Wearing jeans.
11. Candy corn.
12. Carving pumpkins.
13. Cooler temperatures.
14. My birthday and my Dad’s birthday (all on the same day).
15. Wearing comfortable sweaters.
16. My high heel sassy boots.
17. Orange, red, brown, yellow colors.
18. Eating pumpkin cookies.
19. Spending time with family.
20. Anticipation of Thanksgiving dinner.

  1. Pumpkin carving – yes! We carved pumpkins last year, and I hadn’t done that in ages. I forgot how wonderful fresh raw pumpkins smell! Then there’s the amazing orange color. Here’s another favorite that didn’t make it to my list: roasted pumpkin seeds.

  5. Oh, yes–I have a pair of the pointiest, teeniest-heeled Steve Maddens boots dh got me a few years ago. I’m old enough to wear them for a few years–no one expects a 30-something mother of four to be hip! Lol.

  6. Oh! Apple everything! Caramel apples, apple pie, apple fritters, fried apples… oh we have our glorious fill of that beloved fruit!

    Oh, and pumpkins! Pumpkin cake, pumpkin bread, toasted pumpkin seeds, pumpkin pie… oh we have our glorious fill of that beloved vegetable!

    Oh and turkey… Do you see a theme going on here? :)

    I love hayrides, the crisp air, football (!) and the idea of snuggling up to Mr. Right at a bonfire or a nice fire in the grate.

    Great list. Thanks for checking out my list too. You asked if I was a hockey mom, I’m not yet but my son is old enough to take a skills class for street hockey at the Y this fall so we’ll be doing that.
