Giveaway #2 for Monday

down I have greatly enjoyed this particular blogger. If you had not met Deedra….well let me tell you about her, in her own words:

I live in the south, on a farm, my neighbor insists on standing in his yard naked from time to time.. My Mom is bi polar…lots of material there, bless her heart…my sister in law dated both my brothers-in-law in high school and recently married one of them, oh! and the other one performed the ceremony…etc..etc…you get my point?! Despite all of these things, I am not some freaky southern fried freak of a freak. I am relatively normal Southern Baptist woman, and both normal and abnormal things tend to happen around here,

Not only is she wonderful but she has some great goodies over at her site for you….but be sure to come on back I have more….and could someone tell this city slicker what the heck is “Mule Day?”

  1. One of Mary Pierce’s books is Confessions of a Prayer Wimp, and my favorite things to shop for online are my kids’ clothes.

I’m heading over to Deedra’s blog now – very fun way to have my coffee! :)

  2. “When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head?”

That is a seriously good title for a book. I know I have heard of it before too. I don’t know if it was on your blog or another blog.

And I did hop on over to the MrsDealFinder site, and it is so cute. I commented over there that I do a large amount of shopping online, so a large range of topics is great. I subscribe to that feed too.

Now, I never know that you could actually buy samples. That is a new one.

  3. I love finding deals – but I especially love finding deals on services I use. Computer related, carpet cleaners, pedicures, etc.
Books, clothes, home decor… I just love deals! :)

  4. Ok – for Day #1, “When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head?” is one of the titles by Mary Pierce. By the way? I love her titles, too. Now I want to read all three books! For Day #2, I’m not sure – right now I’m shopping for office furniture online but I love shopping for home decor especially. And books. Amazon.com is one of my favorite sites.

  5. One of Mary Pierce’s books is “When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head?”

I rarely shop for clothing online (I like to be able to try it on first), but I do buy books, music, and craft supplies.

  6. I finally had the time to check out Mrs.DealFinder. Very cool. I usually only shop for books and electronics on-line, but would love to start shopping for clothes. My problem with cloth shopping – there too many site out there to check out deals. So maybe now I can find some good deals for clothes :)

  7. One of Mary Pierce’s books Twister. Mule Day is annual labor day celebration they host. I loveshopping online, but only with deals. How about shoes.

  8. Pingback: I love Fall Giveaway - Day 4

  9. For the first giveaway it’s Confessions of a Prayer wimp

And for the second thing we really enjoy shopping for deals on sets of older TV shows since there are very few on today. Something with morals..and always books of the Christian sort Just not romance novels!

  10. One of Mary’s books is Confessions of a Prayer Wimp on my TBR list. I always looking for books, movie and crafting supplies on line to buy.

  11. One of her books is Confessions of a Prayer Wimp.

And I shop for lots of stuff online…kids clothes, books, Christmas gifts, ect. Always looking for a bargain in those things.

  12. The thing we buy most online is school books and Christian books. I have done a little clothes shopping online too. Oh yeah – at Christmas time we do a lot of our shopping for the kids – who wants to stand in line?

    “Confessions of a Prayer Wimp”

    Have a great time,
    Tammy

  13. Confessions of a Prayer Wimp

One thing I’d love to see on the Deal site is info about book deals for children and adults. I saw Christmas gifts above – another good idea!

  15. One of Mary Pierce’s books are
When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head? Which I have never heard of hear and read the interview now, I am intrigued and have to read her books.

Which that is what I shop for on-line is books and school supplies and anything school related.

  16. “Confessions of a Prayer Wimp” definitely sounds like something I need to read!

I love to shop for clothes online, but only for my kids (too hard to fit me without trying on) and only if I can find a REALLY good deal. I also buy health and beauty products online (vitamins, skin care, etc). I would also love to see some really great deals on Christian and/or kids books.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. “When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head?” That is an awesome title and I so need to check it out.

Also, I’d love to see advice on feeding your family on a budget! We have recently set in place a tighter budget to be better stewards of what the Lord has given us and I find that I spend so much on food!! I know it’s a necessity but if I could tame that area, I’d feel like queen Frugal!

  18. 1) Giveaway #1: “Confessions of a Prayer Wimp,”
    3) I see MrsDeal giving advice about bargains on home items and clothing

  19. #1– Confessions of a Prayer Wimp (this sounds awesome!)
#2– I like to shop for books, purses, and anything clearance online.

I’m the original Cheapskate girl! Way before Mary Hunt made her famous debut!

  20. Monday giveaway #3:
I like the “Deal Finder” site. I would like to see bargains for books. That’s what I buy on line more often than anything.

  21. Hello! I read your interviews. Good job! I love to read also. One of the books was “When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head?” which sounds hilarious.

  22. I shop for beads and jewelry findings online and sometimes bid on eBay. Hope that helps you. :0)

  23. Day 1-“When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head?”

Day 2- I would love to see great deals on comforter sets. I’ve been looking, and can usually find good deals on ebay, but not on comforter sets.

PS–There is also a Mule Days in Benson, NC. My family hails from them there parts, and I haven’t been in a looong time, I have fond memories of them.

    ♥Susan

  24. The title of a Mary Pierce book is “Confessions Of A Prayer Wimp: My Fumbling, Faltering Foibles In Faith”. That goodie bag looks awesome! Thanks for the chance to win your great giveaway!

  25. One of the title’s of Mary Pierce’s books is When Did My Life Become a Game of Twister?

    Thanks!

  26. One thing I shop for online is textbooks (I am a student).

    -Entry for the Amazon Giftcard

    Thanks for the chance.

  27. Great book titles! I like this one by Mary, “When Did I Stop Being Barbie & Become Mrs. Potato Head?”.

I shop for books and homeschool curriculum online. You can find almost any book you need and I can find great prices!

  28. Good morning! I just stumbled upon your blog via Lysa’s – what fun!

    1) I’ve not read anything by Mary Pierce, but I’m intrigued by the title “When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head?” – it sounds delightful! And I love to read books by someone with a good sense of humor; it helps me to absorb what someone is trying to teach me.

    2) Well, having had to look up “Mule Day”, there were several to choose from. The one I looked at was celebrated in Winfield, Alabama. I do think though that rather than viewing a parade of all kings & sizes of mules, I would choose to check out the arts & crafts, the flea market and the “Old Time Lane” where you get to see how different old time daily activities, such as storytelling and authentic living were done.

    3) I’m not familiar with MrsDealFinder, but by glancing at the site, I would love to see about getting some used books at a really good price. One of my biggest purchases online is used books, but they’re not always available at a good price.

While I love to get shabby chic home decorating items (another large part of my online purchases!) when I find something I like at an acceptable price, I prefer to find items in a “shabby” state and re-purpose them into something more “chic”.

I enjoy coming across new blogs, and meeting new, interesting people through them. Thank you! Leslie

  29. When Did I Stop Being Barbie and Become Mrs. Potato Head. I shop online most for scrapbooking stuff.
